28 Day Prescribing
In line with national prescribing guidelines and local Clinical Commissioning Group recommendations, we are now prescribing for a maximum of 28 days at a time. This has been proven to reduce wastage of medicines (£100 million annually) by 15% where this has already been implemented in other parts of the country. The majority of prescriptions have already been for 28 days for some years. As a Practice we are committed to following these recommendations and hope that you will understand the reasoning behind this policy.
