Evening and weekend appointments now available

We are now offering evening and weekend appointments with a GP or nurse as part of Extended GP Opening hours. These are for routine, non-urgent issues.

You can book your appointment through our receptionist who will give you a time, date and venue for your appointment.

Our receptionist will also at be able to answer any questions you have about the service and how to cancel or change your booking.

Out of hours emergencies are the responsibility of NHS 111 who will arrange appropriate further care/advice.  For the Out of hours service please ‘phone 111. If you need immediate urgent medical help, phone 999. GP out of hours appointments have moved from their old base in Chesterton and are now on the Addenbrookes site (Clinic 9, next to A&E).

Carers are a relatively new NHS priority, and there is an excellent free support and advice service run by Crossroads. Cambridgeshire County Council also has information and support- see their webpage here.

Part of the problem is that carers often continue to provide care and not consider they are doing anything unusual- even when it all gets a bit much.

Are you a carer? Click if unsure!

Do feel free to bring the subject up with any of us at the Surgery- we would be happy to issue 'carers prescriptions' if you wish and occasionally need prompting to remember that this avenue exists!
