Evening and weekend appointments now available

We are now offering evening and weekend appointments with a GP or nurse as part of Extended GP Opening hours. These are for routine, non-urgent issues.

You can book your appointment through our receptionist who will give you a time, date and venue for your appointment.  

Our receptionist will also at be able to answer any questions you have about the service and how to cancel or change your booking.

Out of hours emergencies are the responsibility of NHS 111 who will arrange appropriate further care/advice.  For the Out of hours service please ‘phone 111. If you need immediate urgent medical help, phone 999. GP out of hours appointments have moved from their old base in Chesterton and are now on the Addenbrookes site (Clinic 9, next to A&E).

Out of hours (OOH) urgent problems, including urgently required        medication, are covered by NHS 111

An operator will take your details and arrive at a management plan (with computer aided support) which may involve telephone advice, a gp phone call/appointment/visit, District Nurse involvement or advice to attend Addenbrookes Emergency Dept.

Please remember that the CCG is responsible for organising out of hours care. The service is designed to provide quality care only for emergency health needs that arise when the surgery is closed. Please be aware your records are not routinely available to the OOH service.
